4 Dayz

Man, I hope you L.A. folks spent some time in the water over the long weekend. It was a nice run with Friday being pretty much the best day of surf for me all year. Just an epic day. Yesterday I pulled a double since we spent the day at the  beach and surfed the old Shit Pipe after pulling a morning session at Porto.

I think no less than 1/2 a dozen people asked me, "Did you ride your bike here today?" in the lineup over the past few days. One guy even said, "It's like a staple here." I was sort of surprised by all this since I didn't realize I stood out like that. I figured tons of folks rode their bikes to the beach there, although I haven't witnessed many (which I guess makes sense if people are noticing me doing it). Regardless, I guess this is an indicator that I may be fitting in as a regular now. Or...maybe the "kook on the bike" is really what's going on here.
